St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Nathel Burnell Lewis, 40, Patterson, LA, was arrested on September 13, 2022, at 7:17 pm for obscenity.
Shortly after noon on Sunday, September 11, 2022, the Patrol Division of the SMPSO received a complaint of a male in a vehicle at a local business in Bayou Vista, committing a lewd act in the view of others. Through the ensuing investigation of the incident, the subject was identified as Lewis.
On Tuesday, September 13, deputies working the investigation continued to gather evidence, spoke to additional witnesses, and obtained a warrant. At approximately 6:30 pm, deputies made contact with Lewis, placed him under arrest, and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $75,000.
Sundie Hebert, 66, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on September 13, 2022, at 2:28 pm on a Baldwin P.D. warrant for theft. Hebert is being held for another agency.
Ann Patrice Randle, 57, Patterson, LA, was arrested on September 13, 2022, at 9:19 pm on a warrant for interfering with a law enforcement investigation. Bail has not been set at this time.
NARCOTICS SECTION
Joshua Walton, 22, Patterson, LA, was arrested on September 13, 2022, at 10:35 pm on a Patterson P.D. warrant for failure to appear on the charge of careless operation. Bail has not been set at this time.
