In February of this year, the New Iberia Police Department began investigating a homicide.
At 9:30 p.m., Officers responded to a residence in the 1500 block of Montagne Street after a male was located
deceased inside the residence.
On June 28, 2022, after an extensive investigation, Detectives obtained arrest warrants on two individuals,
Jarason Joseph Provost, 20 years old, for Second Degree-Murder and Kyshion Drekvant Vital, 22 years old, for
Principal to Second Degree Murder.
On June 29th, Vital was located and arrested. Vital was booked into the Iberia Parish Jail.
