St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 102 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Juvenile Male, 16, Franklin, LA, was arrested on June 18, 2022, at 1:00 am for battery-simple. The juvenile male was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
Juvenile Male, 17, Centerville, LA, was arrested on June 18, 2022, at 1:00 am for unlawful posting of criminal activity for notoriety and publicity. The juvenile male was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
Derrick Charles Brown Sr., 47, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on June 18, 2022, at 6:42 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, operating a vehicle while license is suspended, and speeding. Brown was released on a $3,500 bond.
Theodore Martell Harris Jr., 35, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on June 18, 2022, at 6:54 pm for possession of methamphetamine and theft. Bail has not been set.
Markus Andre Francis, 38, Patterson, LA, was arrested on June 18, 2022, at 11:32 pm on the following charges:
- Bicycle equipment required for night operation
- Obstruction of justice-tampering
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession of schedule II drug with intent to distribute
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Resisting arrest or officer
Bail was set at $38,750.
Jerral Wade Prestenbach, 33, Patterson, LA, was arrested on June 19, 2022, at 1:33 am on two MCPD warrants for failure to appear on the charges of theft-misdemeanor, possession of synthetic cannabinoids, and contempt of court. Prestenbach was transferred to another agency.
Joshua James Robert Jones, 34, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on June 19, 2022, at 13:37 am on a Mississippi Department of Corrections warrant. Jones is being held for another agency.
Jeremiah Jerald Owens, 35, Berwick, LA, was arrested on June 19, 2022, at 8:29 pm for required position and method of turning at intersection, driving while intoxicated, and driver must be licensed. Bail was set at $3,000.
Shannon Charles Conley, 34, Patterson, LA, was arrested on June 20, 2022, at 11:39 pm for disturbing the peace-violent and tumultuous manner and resisting arrest or officer. Bail was set at $3,500.
Stephen Edward Taylor, 38, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on June 20, 2022, at 1:51 am on two warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:
- Simple criminal damage to property
- Possession of schedule II CDS (methamphetamine)
- Possession of CDS in the presence of a person under 17
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Taylor was also charged with resisting an officer by giving false information, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of schedule I drugs. Bail was set at $6,000.
All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
