Assumption Parish Water Works plans to repair a water leak on Bayou Drive in Pierre Part, LA on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. We will begin around 8:30AM and hopefully be finished by 1:00PM. This repair will include condemning a portion of the existing 2 1/4″ water line as well as replacing a broken main line valve across the road from the leak.
This afternoon, they are going door-to-door placing door hangers on the doors of all affected households informing them of the Boil Water Advisory being issued on Wednesday.
Water Works may have to close both lanes of Bayou Drive at this location while this work is being done.
There will be a boil water advisory (BWA) issued for customers residing on Hue St., Benson St., Mabile St., Nathan St., Randall St., Kirk Street and some residents on Bayou Drive. Please share this information with anyone you may know living on the streets listed.
Note: If your water is shut off during this timeframe and you live close to the following streets, you will also fall under the BWA.
Water samples will be taken on Wednesday and transported to the state lab. Once results are provided, they will lift the BWA.
