UPDATE: Suspects Taken Into Custody – Two Suspects Sought in Morgan City Burglary Investigation
UPDATE, 01/09/2022 1:00 pm: John Robert Hymel and Alyssa Jolie Landry have both been located and are now in custody. Hymel and Landry were both located by the McNairy County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee. Hymel and Landry are awaiting the extradition process back to Louisiana.
Chief James F. Blair and the Morgan City Police Department thanked the public as well as the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, Nicholls State University Police Department, and the McNairy County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the investigation.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Morgan City Police Department is asking for assistance in locating two suspects in a burglary investigation. Detectives began an investigation on Wednesday in regards to a burglary that had occurred in the area of Cypress Gardens Subdivision.
During the course of the investigation, four suspects were identified as allegedly being involved. Fredrick Calloway and Channing Miller Jr. have already been located by investigators and arrested.
Two suspects are still at-large. They have been identified as 18-year old male, John Robert Hymel and 21-year old female, Alyssa Jolie Landry. Hymel and Landry are being sought for active arrest warrants for Simple Burglary, Theft of a Firearm, and Theft-$5,000 to $25,000.
