Man Wanted for Felony Hit and Run in New Iberia

WANTED PERSON

On January 6, 2022, Officers with the New Iberia Police Department responded to a vehicle crash in the 700 block of South Lewis Street.

Upon arrival, Officers discovered a vehicle had crashed into a building. After the crash, the driver fled the scene.

The building was occupied at the time of the crash. One of the occupants, a male 92 years of age, was critically injured. The victim was transported to a Lafayette area hospital where he remains in intensive care.

Officers were able to identify the driver of the vehicle and have obtained arrests warrants.

The driver, Kevin Ray Crosby (35 years of age), is wanted on the following charges:

Felony Hit and Run
Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
No Driver’s License
No Insurance
Failure to Secure Vehicle Registration
