In Labadieville, Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon announced the arrests of Rontrell Johnson, 37, and Quitana Marie Kenny, 33, on charges related to drugs and weapons. The arrests resulted from a search warrant executed at a residence on Violet Street last Thursday evening.
A narcotics investigation had been ongoing in the area, which led to identifying Rontrell Johnson as an individual involved in illegal drug activities. Eventually, enough probable cause was gathered for agents to obtain a search warrant for his residence.
Upon arrival at the scene, deputies and agents faced resistance from Quitana Marie Kenny but quickly took her into custody. After entering the home and conducting a search, officers found four firearms, various drugs including cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, MDMA (Ecstasy), Oxycodone, Suboxone, Xanax (Alprazolam), and drug paraphernalia.
Both Rontrell Johnson and Quitana Marie Kenny were booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on numerous charges. While Johnson faces several possession with intent to distribute charges along with illegal use of controlled substances around minors and firearm possession by a convicted felon charges, Kenny has been charged with resisting an officer and interfering with a law enforcement investigation. They both remain incarcerated pending bond hearings.
