Three Men Arrested for Felony Theft in Amelia

Amelia, LA – In a recent update from Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon, 49-year-old Bryan Kelly Wright from Gray, LA has been arrested on felony theft charges related to a December 09, 2022 incident at an Amelia business. Deputies were called to investigate the theft of two utility vehicles from a store on East Service Road.

During their investigation, detectives identified Bryan Kelly Wright, Adam Joseph Carrere (40) of Houma, LA, and Stephen M. Sheppard (51) also of Houma, LA as suspects. Arrest warrants were obtained for all three individuals, who were already detained in other jurisdictions.

Bryan Kelly Wright was moved to Assumption Parish Detention Center and booked on two counts of Motor Vehicle Theft and Simple Criminal Damage to Property charges. His bond is set at $80,000.

Adam Joseph Carrere had already been arrested and posted bond for two counts of Felony Motor Vehicle Theft and Simple Criminal Damage to Property charges. Stephen M. Sheppard is still in another facility and will face charges in Assumption Parish at a later date.
