PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Brendan Scott Charlet, 19, of 105 A Grand Coupe Lane, Pierre Part, LA, Alyssa Maray Jarreaux, 21, of 38323 Cedar Street. Gonzales, LA and Kade Leo Penn, 21, of 402 West Sycamore Street, Gonzales, LA, on a variety of charges arising out of a criminal investigation by the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Enforcement Division.
During recent days, the wildlife agents had occasion to make contact with Brendon Scott Charlet and Kade Leo Penn concerning alleged hunting violations.
During the interview process, agents established that illegal drug activity was being conducted.
Wildlife agents contacted the Sheriff’s Office and at some point, narcotics agents met with wildlife agents.
Based on all information available, agents established that probable cause existed and obtained a search warrant for the property in question.
During the search process, agents recovered numerous controlled dangerous substances, stolen firearms, other firearms, a large amount of U.S. currency, assorted paraphernalia and a currency counter.
The search warrant and arrests were executed on Thursday.
At the conclusion of the investigation, agents arrested Brendan Scott Charlet, Alyssa Maray Jarreau and Kade Leo Penn and booked each into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges as follows:
-Brendan Scott Charlet:
*Possession of Hydrocodone (Felony)
*Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)
* Possession of Cocaine (Felony)
*Prohibited Acts – 3 Counts (Felony)
* Possession of Xanax (Felony)
* Possession of PSILOCYBIN (Mushrooms-Felony)
* Possession of Oxycodone (Felony)
*Legend Drug Imprint – 2 Counts
*Illegal Possession of Stolen Firearms – 2 Counts (Felony)
*Illegal Possession of Firearms in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous
Substances (Felony)
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Charlet’s bond was set at $210,000.
-Kade Leo Penn:
*Hunting Big Game without a License
*Hunting without a License
*Failure to Abide by Commission Rules
*Illegal Possession of Stolen Things (Felony)
Penn’s bond was set at $25,000.
-Alyssa Maray Jarreau:
*Resisting an Officer
Jarreau’s was released on a $5,000 bond.
They were incarcerated pending bond hearings.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.
