A suspect has been charged in a fatal hit-and-run that resulted in the death of a Patterson woman. 26-year-old Brea Paul was a pedestrian near the intersection of Highway 182 and Field Road on Monday, May 11, 2026 when she was struck by a vehicle. She was pronounced deceased on the scene.
34-year-old Travis Gilmore has been charged with Vehicular Homicide and Hit-and-Run. He was arrested by Louisiana State Police and booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 6:04 pm. No bond has been set. We are waiting on more information from Louisiana State Police and will update the story once available.
