The St. Peter United Methodist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Darlene A. Moore will be celebrating its 153rd Church Anniversary on November 28, 2021, at its worship service at 7:00a.m. at 986 St. Peter Street, Jeanerette, Louisiana. The Pastor and congregation would like to invite everyone to attend. The guest speaker will be our very own, Rev. Darlene A. Moore brining a powerful message under the theme: “Through It All I’ve Learned to Trust in Jesus. Through It All I’ve Learned to Trust in God.”

This is an exciting time for us at St. Peter United Methodist Church to be serving the Lord and our community for 153 years. We still have work to do, but we are leaning on the everlasting arms of our Lord and Savior and trusting in His Word. Through the pandemic we have not lost sight of our purpose of “Making Disciples for Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World.”

It is also a sad time for St. Peter United Methodist Church of Jeanerette because our Pastor, Rev. Darlene A. Moore, will be turning in her robe in the pulpit and retiring at the end of the year and turning the next chapter in her life where God will lead her. She has been in the ministry for over 30 years and God has other plans for her to do. She is a pillar in the communities of Jeanerette, Baldwin, Franklin, and surrounding areas where she serves St. Peter UMC in Jeanerette, Trinity UMC in Baldwin, and Asbury UMC in Franklin. We commend her for her dedication of service to the Lord and the community. We wish her remarkable things on the horizon as she continues to keep her eyes on the Lord. Where He leads, she will follow. We ask that you continue to lift her up in prayers. We will hold a celebration for her on December 12, 2021, at the 7:00a.m. service.

We would like to invite all the Mayors and Public Officials, Pastors and Church Officials, congregations from other churches, and you the community whom she has touch in so many ways to both celebrations.

Due to the pandemic, we still must follow safety guidelines of wearing masks, but we will still praise and worship the Lord and have a joyous time. So come join us in the 153rd Church Anniversary Celebration on November 28, 2021, at 7:00a.m. and our Pastor Retirement Service on December 12, 2021, at 7:00a.m.

We would like to thank the Co-Chairs of the Anniversary

Committee: Mrs. Mary L Clavelle and Mr. Willie Wilson, and church congregation for serving.
