St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 43 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Jeremiah Jawayne Wiltz, 38, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on April 24, 2025, at 8:54 am for battery-simple. Wiltz continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
NARCOTICS SECTION
Donald McDaniel Jr., 25, Youngsville, LA, was arrested on April 24, 2025, at 5:16 pm for possession of schedule I (marijuana) and possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by person convicted of certain felonies. Bail has not been set at $100,000.
Torris Harris, 40, Patterson, LA, was arrested on April 24, 2025, at 5:14 pm for the following charges:
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Possession of schedule I with intent to distribute (marijuana)
- Possession of schedule I (MDMA)
- Possession of a CDS in the presence of a minor
Bail has not been set at this time.
