St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 28 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Jamie Chris August, 46, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on August 22, 2022, at 3:58 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery. Bail has not been set at this time.
Ramus Anthony Martin, 56, Amelia, LA, was arrested on August 22, 2022, at 11:01 pm for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Bail has not been set at this time.
All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
