St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 96-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 153 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Javon Niles Jones, 19, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on April 1, 2021, at 7:11 am for obstruction to driver’s view and no child restraint. Jones was released on a summons to appear on July 22, 2021.
Shane Carter, 25, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on April 1, 2021, at 1:35 pm on a Lafayette Police Office warrant for aggravated assault with a firearm (5 counts). Carter also held a Lafayette Parish warrant for failure to appear on the charge of battery of a dating partner-strangulation and domestic abuse battery. Carter is being held for another agency.
Steven Troy Bailey, Sr., 36, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on April 1, 2021, at 5:13 pm for turning movements and required signals, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bailey was released on a summons to appear on July 22, 2021.
Rosalyn Marie Collins, 28, Patterson, LA, was arrested on April 2, 2021, at 1:54 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of simple criminal damage to property less than $1,000 and criminal trespassing. No bail has been set.
Travis Chantell Mack, 42, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 2, 2021, at 10:34 pm for driving on roadway laned for traffic and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mack was released on a summons to appear on July 22, 2021.
Earl John Jones, 43, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 3, 2021, at 4:08 am for possession of marijuana, misuse of toxic vapors, possession of synthetic cannabinoids. and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at $6,581.00.
Holly Anne Cronan, 29, Ponchatoula, LA, was arrested on April 3, 2021, at 10:55 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:
- Possession of schedule IV (alprozolam)
- Possession of schedule III (suboxone)
- Illegal use/consumption/possession/distribution of CDS in presence of person under 17
- Obstruction of justice-tampering
No bail has been set.
Eric Wayne Hofsommer, 57, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on April 4, 2021, at 3:55 am for hit and run and driving while intoxicated. Hofsommer was released on a $3,500 bond.
Shakarl Molett, 28, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 4, 2021, at 4:41 am on the following charges:

- Resisting an officer by flight

- No driver’s license

Roger Ray Campbell Jr., 30, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 4, 2021, at 4:41 am on the following charges:

- Possession of cocaine

Connor William Hartdegen, 20, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on April 4, 2021, at 5:19 pm for burglary-simple and burglary-from a car. No bail has been set.
