St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 38 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Joey Jermaine Francois, 43, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on April 17, 2024, at 9:09 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding, operating a vehicle without driver’s license, and failure to maintain automobile liability insurance. Francois was released on a $2,500 bond.
Vickie Landry Norwood, 42, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on April 17, 2024, at 10:00 am on three warrants for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana, entry on or remaining in places or on land after being forbidden, and speeding. Bail has not been set at this time.
Landon Shane Meyerholtz, 19, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 17, 2024, at 5:26 pm on the following charges:
- Criminal damage to property-simple
- Reckless operation-no accident
- Possession of firearm in the presence of a CDS
- Illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities
- Possession of schedule I drugs
Bail has not been set at this time.
Robert Lamon Narcisse, 35, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 17, 2024, at 9:42 pm for battery-simple. Bail has not been set at this time.
Anthony Tony Bourda Jr., 43, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 17, 2024, at 9:12 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled. Bail was set at $500.
NARCOTICS SECTION
Johnny Washington Jr., 60, Bunkie, LA, was arrested on April 15, 2024, at 3:49 pm on the following charges:
- Driving left of center
- Possession of Schedule I CDS with intent to distribute (MDMA)
- Possession of Schedule II CDS with intent to distribute (Cocaine)
- Possession of Schedule IV CDS with intent to distribute (Alprazolam)
- Possession of Schedule II CDS with intent to distribute (Oxycodone)
- Resisting an officer by providing false information
Bail was set at $250,000
Isreal Edward Dawson, 66, Bunkie, LA, was arrested on April 12, 2024, at 9:19 pm on the following charges:
- Possession of Schedule I CDS with intent to distribute (MDMA)
- Possession of Schedule II CDS with intent to distribute (Cocaine)
- Possession of Schedule IV CDS with intent to distribute (Alprazolam)
- Possession of Schedule II CDS with intent to distribute (Oxycodone)
- Transactions involving drug proceeds
Bail was set at $150,000.
