St. Mary Arrest Report 12-21-2022

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 30 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Luis Enrique Cerritos, 30, Amelia, LA, was arrested on December 20, 2022, at 12:55 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of heroin
  • Operating a vehicle without a driver’s license
  • Window tint/obscuring window view
  • Operating a vehicle without proper equipment

Bail has not been set at this time.

Tris Evans Madison, 29, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on December 20, 2022, at 2:09 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

  • Possession of MDMA
  • Possession of Alprazolam
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Operating a vehicle with improper tail lights
  • Failure to stop/yield at a stop sign
  • Operating a vehicle without a driver’s license
  • Theft of $25,000 or more

Bail has not been set at this time.

Tony Antonie Penns, 39, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on December 20, 2022, at 2:10 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of contempt of court.  Penns was released on a $500 bond.

Nick James Landry, 49, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on December 20, 2022, at 6:52 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

  • Possession/distribution/sale of legend drug without prescription
  • Possession of amphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Illegal use/possession/control of weapons-crime of violence/CDS
  • Possession of clonezapam
  • Possession of schedule II CDS (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute
  • Operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled
  • Failure to maintain automobile liability insurance

Bail has not been set at this time.

Tyler Dehart, 28, Harvey, LA, was arrested on December 21, 2022, at 12:57 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

  • Possession of a schedule II CDS (cocaine)
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled
  • Operating a vehicle without proper required equipment

Bail has not been set at this time.

NARCOTICS SECTION

Denis Alexander Hernandez-Auila, 20, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on December 20, 2022, at 6:10 pm for hit and run, no driver’s license, and careless operation of a vehicle. Bail has not been set at this time.

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
