St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 120-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 147 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Joemy Rodriguez, 26, Patterson, LA, was arrested on November 24, 2021, at 2:53 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and failure to honor a written promise to appear. Rodriguez was released on a $365 bond.
Dominique Navy, 26, Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 25, 2021, at 10:23 pm for no license plate light, driver must be licensed, and possession of marijuana. Navy was released on a summons to appear on February 3, 2022.
Byron Duan Paul, 35, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on November 25, 2021, at 11:49 pm for stop signs/yield signs, no insurance, and switched license plate/stolen license plate. Paul also held an active warrant through the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office. Paul is being held for another agency.
Andrew William Francis, 24, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on November 25, 2021, at 2:58 am for illegal use of weapons or dangerous instruments and possession of a firearm-felon. Francis also held an Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:
- attempted armed robbery
- armed robbery
- possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by a convicted felon
- possession of stolen firearm
Bail was set on the St. Mary charges at $50,000. A hold was placed on Francis for another agency.
Joseph Hamilton Jr., 55, Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 26, 2021, at 8:47 pm for careless operation, driver must be licensed, and hit/run. Hamilton was released on a summons to appear on February 3, 2022.
Tamronique K. Provost, 27, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on November 26, 2021, at 9:38 pm for no child restraint and hit/run. Provost was released on a summons to appear on February 3, 2022.
Kylie Schexinider, 18, Amelia, LA, was arrested on November 25, 2021, at 10:50 pm for possession of marijuana. Schexinider was released on a summons to appear on February 3, 2022.
William Nelson Broussard, 34, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 26, 2021, at 2:17 am for driving on roadway laned for traffic, no insurance, and driving under suspension. Broussard was released on a summons to appear on February 3, 2022.
David Allen Ackman, 41, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 26, 2021, at 9:01 am for disturbing the peace-intoxicated and possession of schedule II drugs. Ackman also held a MCPD warrant for failure to appear. Bail was set on the SMPSO charges at $2,500.
Lorrie Jean Verret, 41, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on November 26, 2021, at 6:14 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:
- possession of meth
- possession/distribution/sale of legend drug without prescription
- illegal use/possession/distribution of CDS in the presence of persons under 17
- possession of drug paraphernalia
- improper lane usage
Bail has not been set.
Kevin Leon Hannigan, 18, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 28, 2021, at 10:56 pm for hit and run. Hannigan was released on a summons to appear on February 3, 2022.
