GALLIANO, La. – Authorities responded to a crash involving a school bus early Tuesday morning in Galliano.
At approximately 7:10 a.m. on February 24, deputies were dispatched to West Main Street near 116th Street after reports of a collision involving a gray passenger vehicle and a school bus carrying several children.
According to officials, the school bus sustained minor damage in the crash. No injuries were reported among the children on board or the drivers involved.
The crash remains under investigation by Louisiana State Police.
Sheriff Craig Webre is reminding motorists to remain alert for school buses, particularly during morning and afternoon hours when children are being picked up and dropped off.
Drivers are urged to use extra caution and follow all traffic laws when approaching stopped school buses to help keep students safe.
