Bob, as he was known to most, was born on September 9, 1931 and passed away at the age of 90 on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at his home. The youngest of three children born to the union of Robert and Annie Persilver, Bob was born in Jeanerette, moving with his family to various places throughout Louisiana and Texas, until setting roots in Centerville. He married the love of his life, Barbara Chaisson, on November 25, 1956 and the two were blessed with three children. He honorably served his country and fellow man in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, mostly being stationed in France. He was known for his dry sense of humor, his ability to build and/or fix just about anything, being a die-hard Saints and LSU fan, his love for cooking and feeding people, as well as for his love of family get-togethers. Most importantly though was his love for the Lord, closely followed by his love for his family. Bob was an active Christian, devoting his time, treasure and talent to his church, First Baptist Church of Franklin, as well as assisting other churches with various needs. He was also an instrumental part of Calumet Baptist Church. Though he will be greatly missed, his family takes great joy in knowing that Bob is now where he longed to be, with his Lord as well as with his beloved Barbara.

Those he leaves to cherish his memory include his children, Belinda Persilver Aucoin of Centerville, Michael Persilver and his wife Barbara of Bayou Black, and Robert B. Persilver and his wife Margaret of Lafayette; three grandchildren, Joshua J. Persilver and his wife Whitney, Thomas Aucoin and his wife Heather, and Dani Persilver Gast and her husband Michael; seven great grandchildren, Karli, Kamden, Korbin, and Karson Aucoin, Riley James and Harper Grace Persilver, and Carver Michael Gast; as well as many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Chaisson Persilver; his parents, Robert C. Persilver and Annie Carline Persilver; his brother and sister-in-law, Doyle Persilver and Hilma Knudsen Persilver; and his sister and brother-in-law, Alberta Persilver Blakeman and James Blakeman.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to First Baptist Church, 1500 Iberia St., Franklin, LA 70538.
