A Raceland man has been arrested following a multi-agency investigation into alleged crimes involving a juvenile.
Agents with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of Liz Murrill, arrested David Anthony Dufrene, 36, of St. Mary Street in Raceland, on February 26.
Dufrene has been charged with:
Louisiana Revised Statute 14:81 – Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile
Louisiana Revised Statute 14:81.3 – Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor
According to authorities, the arrest stems from a joint investigation involving the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Dufrene was located and taken into custody in Bayou L’Ourse. He was initially booked into the Assumption Parish Jail as a fugitive before being transferred to the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex.
Authorities confirmed Dufrene’s bond has been set at $175,000.
Officials say the investigation remains ongoing.
