Public’s Help Needed in Homicide Investigation

Sheriff Tim Soignet is asking for the public’s assistance in a homicide investigation in the Johnson Ridge community. Sheriff Soignet advised that at approximately 8:30pm on April 5, 2022, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies and detectives responded to the end of Livas Ln in reference to a female that had been shot multiple times and passed away from injuries sustained in the shooting.

​Sheriff Soignet advised that Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives positively identified the deceased female as Selena Marquez (28 years of age). The investigation is in the early stages and no further details will be released at this time.

​Sheriff Soignet asks that anyone with information in this homicide please contact Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives at (985)876-2500 or the Bayou Region Crime Stoppers at 800-743-7433 where they may be eligible for a cash reward.
