Pierre Part Man Charged With Public Intimidation After Making Several Threats Towards Deputies

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Gregory J. Gros, 58, of 2079 Levee Highway, Pierre Part, LA, on drug, traffic and other related felony charges arising out of a Monday afternoon traffic stop in Pierre Part.

An I.C.E. assigned unit working the Pierre Part area observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of the vehicle. The driver continued on until he arrived at his residence.

The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Gregory J. Gros.

During the investigative stop, it was determined that Gregory J. Gros was driving under a suspended license.

At some point, Gregory J. Gros consented to a search of his vehicle. During the search process, a quantity of Suboxone was recovered. Gregory J. Gros was arrested.

Upon arrival at the detention center, Gregory J. Gros made a number of threats directed towards deputies. Gregory J. Gros was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of Suboxone

*Public Intimidation

*Driving Under Suspension

*Illegal Window Tint

Gregory J. Gros remains incarcerated with a bond set at $100,000.
