PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Chet Paul Landry, 48, of Pierre Part, on a felony charge stemming from an investigation into alleged crimes against an elderly family member.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Comeaux Street after receiving complaints that Landry was displaying violent behavior and had intentionally damaged the interior of a home owned and occupied by an elderly relative.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies had previously responded to similar complaints at the residence on June 27 and June 29, 2026.
Following the investigation, deputies obtained an arrest warrant for Landry.
He was taken into custody Monday afternoon and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on one count of:
Cruelty to the Infirmed
Landry remains incarcerated. Bond has been set at $100,000.
