Patterson Home Damaged in Wednesday Fire

On Wednesday, December 22, approximately 9:40 pm, the Patterson Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the 1700 block of Kemper Street in reference to a structure fire.

Upon arrival, the first unit reported moderate smoke was coming from multiple sides of the structure. After firefighters began the attack, it was deternined to be a chimney fire.

The Bayou Vista Vol Fire Department was requested for additional manpower. In all, approximately 20 responders, three fire department apparatuses, two units from Patterson Police Department, and Acadian Ambulance responded to the scene. The fire was under control at approximately 10:29 pm. No injuries were reported
