New Iberia Man Sentenced to 15 Years for Firearm Possession by Convicted Felon

NEW IBERIA – Kevin Espinoza, 32, of New Iberia, has been sentenced to 15 years at hard labor following his guilty plea to Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Espinoza previously had been convicted of Aggravated Second Degree Battery. His recent sentencing was handed down by the Honorable Judge Keith Comeaux.

The conviction underscores ongoing efforts by law enforcement and the courts to hold repeat offenders accountable and to enhance public safety in Iberia Parish.
