New Iberia Man Arrested On Felony Theft And Simple Burglary Charges

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Connor William Hartdegen, 22, of 4806 Anchor Drive, New Iberia, LA, on felony charges related to a series of burglaries that occurred at a location in the 400 block of LA 663 in Bayou L’Ourse.

On January 9, 2023, deputies responded to a complaint at which time it was reported that unknown individuals had committed multiple burglaries and stolen an automobile. Detectives initiated an investigation and as that process progressed Connor William Hartdegen was identified as a suspect.

On January 10, 2023, Detectives interviewed Hartdegen at which time he admitted to his participation to the crimes.

Connor William Hartdegen was arrested on Tuesday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

  • Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling
  • Simple Burglary (2 Counts)
  • Felony Theft of a Motor Vehicle
  • Detainer – Probation and Parole

Connor William Hartdegen remains incarcerated, and bond set at $20,000.

If anyone is in possession of property they purchased from Hartdegen, please contact the Sheriff’s Office to arrange return of stolen property.
