Napoleonville Woman Charged with Bank Fraud and Felony Theft

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Nichelle S. Lewis, 41, of 4861 Highway 1, Napoleonville after an investigation by the Detective’s Bureau concerning fraudulent transactions of an access card.

Assumption Parish Detectives learned that on June 15, 2021, a parish resident made a complaint of not receiving his access card through the mail and a few days later, learned that all the funds had been depleted from the account. Through the investigation, detectives concluded that Nichelle S. Lewis was a suspect in the case and issued a warrant for her arrest in March of this year.

Nichelle S. Lewis was arrested on March 2, 2022, and booked on the following charges:

*Bank Fraud
*Felony Theft
*Identity Theft
*Access Device Fraud (Misdemeanor)

Nichelle S. Lewis was released on a $20,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
