Morgan City Police Department Announces New Assistant Police Chief

According to Morgan City Police Chief Chad M. Adams and the Morgan City Police Department, Captain Betty Augman has been promoted to the position of Assistant Chief. This well-deserved promotion recognizes her outstanding leadership, dedication to duty, and years of exemplary service.

Assistant Chief Augman began her law enforcement journey in May of 1995 as a correctional officer. Since then, she has served as Patrolman, Detective, Patrol Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, and Captain of both Enforcement and Administrative Divisions.

Assistant Chief Augman has demonstrated a strong commitment to the mission and values of the department. Her promotion marks a significant milestone in a distinguished career, and we look forward to her continued contributions in this new leadership role.

Former MCPD Assistant Police Chief Mark Griffin Jr. retired on July 31st.
