Funeral services celebrating the life of Mary Louise Barrilleaux Boudreaux will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baldwin during a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial. Following the Mass she will be laid to rest beside her beloved late husband, Aubrey, in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Jarod Boudreaux, Justin Boudreaux, Christopher Schexnayder, Marcus Touchet, Garrett Barras, and Larry Escagne. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at the church beginning at 10:00AM, with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 11:00AM. Father Michael DeBlanc will be the Celebrant for the Mass with Deacon Gerald Bourg assisting.
Mary Louise was born on December 8, 1932 and passed away peacefully at the age of 92 during the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in the comfort of her home. A devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend to all, Mary Louise found the greatest joy in her family. Mary Louise married the love of her life, Aubrey, in Baldwin on October 14, 1951. She was his foundation and supported him in all he did. She was a phenomenal cook and enjoyed making sure her family was well fed. She also enjoyed baking, especially making birthday cakes for the neighborhood kids. Later in life she found solace in sitting on her patio and watching her birds as they enjoyed the many bird feeders she had as well as her Monday visits from Deacon Gerald Bourg who faithfully brought her Holy Communion.
Her beautiful memory will be treasured and held in the hearts of her four children, J. Neal Boudreaux and his wife Janis, Jodie B. Schexnayder and her husband Tommy, Jamie Boudreaux, and Jay Boudreaux and his wife Joanie; eight grandchildren, Mary Margaret Barras and her husband Garrett, Elizabeth Escagne and her husband Larry, Christopher and Samantha Schexnayder, Jessica Howard and her husband Chet, Jarod Boudreaux and his wife Stephanie, Justin Boudreaux and his fiancée Kylie Paterick, and Taylor Touchet and her husband Marcus; 14 great grandchildren; her brother, James “Jimmy” Barrilleaux; her sister, Lucille “Pookie” St. Germain; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey N. Boudreaux; two sons, Ronald Andrew Boudreaux and Michael Aubrey Boudreaux; her parents, Alton Barrilleaux Sr. and Lucille LeBlanc Badeaux Barrilleaux; and her brother, Alton “Brother” Barrilleaux Jr.
