Mamie Kathleen Washington, 74, a native and resident of Morgan City, LA transitioned peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Ochsner St. Mary Hospital in Morgan City, LA.
Visitation will be held on from 9:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 415 Union Street Morgan City, LA. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
She leaves to cherish her memories, four sisters, Antoinette Washington, Diana (Bernie) Williams, Janita Turenne, all of Morgan City, LA and Carlene Washington of Houston, TX; a sister-in-law, Elaine Washington of Gibson, LA, along with a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Mamie was preceded in death by her parents, Fulton and Mamie Washington, Sr.; her brother, Fulton Washington, Jr.; a sister, Constance Hulbert; a nephew, Fulton Washington III, her niece, Alicia Joseph, and two brothers-in-law, Thomas Foster and Leo Turenne.
