Juanita Verdine Carter, 94, a native of Morgan City, LA, passed away on Thursday May 19, 2022 in California.
California Services – A viewing will be held on Wednesday June 8, 2022 at Harrison-Ross Mortuary’s View Park Location 4601 South Crenshaw Boulevard Los Angeles, CA 90043 from 1:00P- 3:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday June 9, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Glory Christian Center 225 W. Torrance Blvd. Carson, CA 90745.
Louisiana Services – Visitation will be observed from 9:00 AM until funeral services at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church 113 Federal Avenue Morgan City, LA. Pastor Ronald McCoy will officiate the services. Burial will follow funeral services in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Juanita is survived by her: thirteen children, Cheryl Carter of Gibson LA, Charles William Carter Jr., Alfred Lee Carter (Ditra), Althea Carter Singh, Charlene Ivy, Lois Carter, Laverne Carter (Peter), Mrs. Byron (Velma Carter) Watson, Mrs. Lathan (Paulette Carter) Hurd, Isaac Carter (Monica), Dayvon White, Cece Carter and Ebony Carter all of Los Angeles, CA. Juanita was also blessed with thirty-two grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, two great-great- grandchildren; god-brother, Michael Broussard and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Juanita was preceded in death by her son. One grandchild, three great-grands, eight siblings.
