John Edward Guidry, known to everyone as “Joe” 71, a resident of Morgan city, passed away peacefully, Saturday, August 05, 2023, at his home.

Joe was born October 21, 1951, in Morgan City, the son of Edward Guidry and Angeline Michel.

Joe was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a deer processor and was well known around town for his hog head cheese. Joe loved to go out to the camp on Shell Island with his best friend Clay Canty. Joe was a diehard LSU fan.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Cathy Guidry; one son, Joshua Guidry; one daughter, Jonette Guidry, one brother, Lawrence “Bubba” Guidry and wife Mary; two sisters, Kay
Bourgeois and husband Chris and Jane Coleman and husband Eddie; three grandchildren, Keegan,
Paxton, and Prezli, and a host of niece and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Angeline Guidry.
