Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre and Golden Meadow Police Chief Michelle Lafont have announced the arrest of 18-year-old Airron Billiot of Galliano following a violent domestic incident Tuesday night.
Around 10:20 p.m. on November 4, 2025, Lafourche Parish deputies and Golden Meadow Police officers responded to a home on North 2nd Street after reports of a stabbing. Investigators say Billiot was armed with a knife and had attacked family members. When officers arrived, Billiot surrendered and was taken into custody without incident.
Two women—one in her 60s and another in her 30s—were found with knife wounds to the neck. Both victims were transported to the hospital for treatment.
According to detectives, Billiot had been arguing with family members throughout the day and at one point threatened to kill everyone in the house. He allegedly armed himself with a knife and stabbed both women. During questioning, Billiot admitted to his involvement in the attack.
Billiot was charged with two counts of attempted second-degree murder and booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Thibodaux. His bond was set at $500,000.
