A Grand Jury from the 16th Judicial District of St. Mary Parish issued indictments for a 2007 Franklin Police Department cold case. The following arrest stems from that incident.
Matthew Guienze, 32, of Darce Dr., Franklin, LA, turned himself in to the Franklin Police Department on August 21, 2023, at 12:16 PM, on a warrant for indictment for aggravated rape. Guienze was booked, processed, and held on a $250,000.00 bond.
Shaquita Clark, 39, Ninth St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 21, 2023, at 12:18 PM, on a warrant dated August 20, 2023, for aggravated assault with a firearm. Clark was booked, processed, and held on a $25,000.00 bond.
Joseph Nedd, 58, of Tabor St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 21, 2023, at 8:32 PM, on the charge of theft. Nedd was additionally arrested on a warrant for 19th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery. Nedd was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
