The Franklin Police Department responded to 35 complaints over the past holiday weekend and made the following arrests:
Katyre White, 28, of Ninth St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 28, 2022, at 11:07 PM, on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of possession of a firearm by convicted felon and resisting an officer. White was booked, processed, and released on a $9,000.00 bond.
Gerald Dupas, 35, of Iberia St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 29, 2022, at 2:57 PM, on the charge of disturbing the peace. Dupas was booked, processed, and held on a $1,000.00 bond.
Tonya Jenkins, 49, of Iberia St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 29, 2022, at 2:57 PM, on the charge of disturbing the peace. Jenkins was booked, processed, and released on a $1,000.00 bond.
Deshandra Gaines, 31, of Railroad Ave., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 30, 2022, at 2:49 AM, on the charges of cruelty to juveniles and domestic abuse battery by strangulation. Gaines was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
