The Franklin Police Department responded to 22 complaints over the past weekend and made the following arrests:
Emanuel Hypolite, 20, of Emery Lewis Ave., New Iberia, LA, was arrested on May 21, 2022, at 9:59 AM, on a warrant dated May 20, 2022, for sexual abuse of an animal. Hypolite was booked, processed, and released on a $5,000.00 bond.
Rachelle Dupre, 39, of Birch St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 21, 2022, at 8:09 PM, on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Dupre was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
