The Franklin Police Department responded to 17 complaints over the past weekend and made the following arrests:
Halee Henslee, 33, of Irish Bend Rd., Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 26, 2024, at 2:21 PM, on the charge of simple assault. Henslee was booked, processed, and released to appear in Third Ward City Court.
Shane Sophus, 44, of Tabor St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 27, 2024, at 2:10 AM, on the charge of violation of protective orders. Sophus was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Carl Joseph, Jr., 30, of Curtis St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 27, 2024, at 2:18 PM, on the charge of domestic abuse battery. Joseph was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Devontrae Williams, 23, of Iberia St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 28, 2024, at 6:21 AM, on the charges of domestic abuse battery by strangulation, domestic abuse battery, simple kidnapping, and false imprisonment. Williams was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Jordan McDaniel, 30, of Cypress St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 29, 2024, at 4:46 AM, on warrants for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of second degree battery and possession of a schedule II controlled dangerous substance. McDaniel was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
