Fourth Arrest Made in Drug Related Shooting

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Travis Kentrell Williams, 23, of 2476 Highway 308, Labadieville, LA, on felony charges arising out of a drug related shooting on Violet Street near Labadieville, LA in mid-October 2021. This marks the fourth arrest in the case. 

 

Previously arrested were Jamal Starks, 24, of 117 Violet Street, Labadieville, LA, Traci Alexis Brown, 21, of Rosedown Drive, Thibodaux, LA and Joshua Louper, 21, of 120 Gassen Street, Luling, LA. 

 

The investigation followed an incident of a reported shooting in which detectives located a number of spent large caliber casings over a three-address area on Violet Street. 

 

The investigation concluded that the incident was drug related and an exchange of gunfire occurred. 

 

Travis Kentrell Williams was arrested on Thursday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of: 

 

*Simple Robbery 

*Criminal Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute Marijuana 

*Resisting An Officer 

 

Travis Kentrell Williams remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
