Officials said on Sunday, at approximately 6:20 pm, the Morgan City Fire Department was dispatched to a possible structure fire in the 400 block of Idaho Street. Upon arrival, units found a single-story, single-family home 50% engulfed. A quick interior attack brought flames under control within minutes, but firefighters remained on the scene putting out hot spots. No injuries to firefighters or civilians, the cause is under investigation at this time.
