The decedent found deceased in the 400 block of Canal St. in Jeanerette on 8/26/26 is identified as 29 y/o Yelson Martinez Soriano of Lafayette.
JEANERETTE, La. — One person is dead following a workplace accident in Jeanerette on Wednesday, August 26.
According to Jeanerette Police, the fatal incident occurred at the former Hon Iron building, located behind Sonic in Jeanerette.
Authorities confirmed that a man died as a result of the accident. His identity has not yet been released, and officials have not provided additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
