Edward Joseph, Sr., 90, a native of Glencoe, LA and resident of Jeanerette, LA transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, LA.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Jones Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Allen Randle, Sr., Celebrant.
Edward leaves to cherish his memories; six loving daughters, Sheila (Joseph) Freeman, Paula (Ronnie) Cage, Karen (Kevin) Perro, Bridgetta (Kennedy) Gunner, Ginger Jones, all of Franklin, LA, Shante (Gary) Wilson of New Iberia, LA, a niece he reared as a daughter, Charlene Joseph of Franklin, LA; seven loving sons, Edward Joseph, Jr., Ronald (Belinda) Joseph, Donald (Dorothy) Joseph, Clyde w. Joseph, Mark (Swanzetta) Joseph, Cory Jones, all of Franklin, LA, and Kevin (Gilbra) Joseph of Killeen, TX, along with John Gardner, who reared as a son, and a devoted friend who he saw as a son, Joey Lopez, thirty six grandchildren, forty six great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander “Mitch” Joseph and Onetta Celestine, his sisters, Beniva Chartain, Alma Crosby, Onetta Teno, Will Mae Joseph, Walterine Barabin, two sons, Luther R. Joseph, Sr. and Carl W. Joseph, and two great grandchildren.
