The Morgan City Police Department would like to update the public that Damarcus McNeal has been located and taken into custody.
McNeal was wanted in connection with the August 29, 2026 attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery investigation and had active arrest warrants for:

With McNeal’s arrest, both suspects identified in connection with this investigation are now in custody.

Their cooperation and assistance played an important role in locating McNeal and bringing him into custody.

MORGAN CITY, La. — August 29, 2026 — Morgan City Police are investigating an alleged armed robbery and stabbing that left one person seriously injured early Saturday morning.
According to the Morgan City Police Department, officers were dispatched to an address along Highway 182 during the early morning hours of August 29 in reference to a medical emergency involving a person suffering from traumatic injuries.
When officers arrived, they determined the victim had suffered a stab wound. First responders provided aid until emergency medical personnel arrived. The victim was transported for treatment and was later airlifted to an out-of-town hospital.
During the investigation, detectives learned the victim had allegedly been targeted during a robbery and was stabbed during the commission of the crime. Police identified two suspects in connection with the case.
Kloey Culliver, 26, of Wise Street in Patterson, was identified by investigators as one of the alleged suspects. Police obtained an arrest warrant for Culliver on charges of attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery. She was later taken into custody and booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail.
Police also identified Damarcus McNeal, 29, of Verdunville Road in Franklin, as the second suspect. Investigators said McNeal fled the scene and had not been located as of Saturday night.
An arrest warrant has been issued for McNeal on charges of attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery.
Police consider McNeal armed and dangerous and are warning the public not to approach, contact or attempt to apprehend him.
Anyone with information on McNeal’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Morgan City Police Department at (985) 380-4605, their local law enforcement agency, or 911.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police said additional arrests are possible. Authorities also warned that anyone knowingly helping McNeal avoid law enforcement could be investigated and may face criminal charges.
