Bomb Threat Under Investigation at Franklin High School

UPDATE, 9:40 am: The campus is secure. Students and staff are being screened as they re-enter the building  

Franklin High School has been evacuated on Thursday morning due to a bomb threat made to the school campus. Franklin Police Department, Franklin Fire Department and St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the school and evacuated the building while a search is underway. All students were reported safe. St. Mary Parish School Superintendent Dr. Teresa Bagwell told KQKI News that the search shouldn’t take too long.
