The St. Mary Parish Water & Sewer Commission #5 in Four Corners, LA has experienced problems with our water supply system due to a broken water main.
Therefore, as a precaution, the St. Mary Parish Water & Sewer Commission #5 is issuing a BOIL ADVISORY effective immediately for theFour Corners water system.The BOIL ADVISORY is to remain in effect until rescinded by the St. Mary Parish Water & Sewer Commission #5.
It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, rinsing of food or using it for food preparation
by following the procedure below:
In a clean container, bring water to a rolling boil for one full minutebefore consumption. The flat taste can be eliminated by shaking the
water in a clean bottle, pouring it from one clean container to another, or by adding a pinch of salt to each quart of water that is boiled.
The St. Mary Parish Water & Sewer Commission #5 will rescind this Boil Advisory upon notification from the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals – Office of Public
Health that additional water samples collected from our water supply system have shown the water to be safe.
