At approximately 10:55 am on Thursday, January 26, 2023, officers with the Berwick Police Department and deputies of the SMPSO responded to Berwick High School in reference to a threatening message that was discovered by a teacher.
Out of caution, the administration had evacuated the students when officers and deputies arrived on the scene. An investigation was opened and no threat was substantiated. At the present time, the students are back in class and BHS is operating on a cautionary status.
The investigation is ongoing.
