Berwick Police Chief David Leonard reports the following arrest:

Mandi Hatfield W/F 35 Todd Ln. Morgan City was arrested on April 21, 2023 at 12:14 PM for

BERWICK WARRANT- FAILURE TO APPEAR FOR RESISTING AN OFFICER

On April 21, 2023 Hatfield was located at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. It was learned that she had active warrants through the Berwick Police Department. Hatfield was transported to the Berwick Police Department where she was booked on the outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear for the charge of Resisting an Officer.

Kevin Ramirez- Rivera H/M 26 Aucoin St. Morgan City was arrested on April 23, 2023 at 2:58 PM for

  • POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA

On April 23, 2023 at approximately 2:02PM at traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle after several traffic violations were observed. Officers made contact with a passenger in the vehicle who was identified as Ramirez- Rivera. Through the course of the stop, a search of the vehicle was conducted at which time items of drug paraphernalia belonging to Ramirez- Rivera was located. Ramirez- Rivera was placed under arrest for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and released on a summons to appear in court.

Edward Ramsey W/M 41 Theonis Rd. Kaplan was arrested on April 23, 2023 at 10:57 PM for

  • SPEEDING 65/45

TERREBONNE PARISH WARRANT- FELONY THEFT

Brookeleigh Fitzgerald W/F 44 Theonis Rd. Kaplan was arrested on April 23, 2023 at 10:57 PM for

  • POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE II CDS METHAMPHETAMINE
  • POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA

On April 23, 2023 at approximately 10:08 PM a traffic stop was conducted after officers observed a vehicle traveling 65 MPH in a 45 MPH zone on LA Hwy. 182. Officers made contact with the driver, Ramsey and passenger Fitzgerald. During this time, it was learned that Ramsey had active warrants through Terrebonne Parish. While speaking with Fitzgerald, items of drug paraphernalia were located in plain view. Fitzgerald later admitted to having Methamphetamine as well. Both were placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department. Ramsey was booked on the charges of Speeding 65/45 and Terrebonne Parish Warrant- Felony Theft. Fitzgerald was booked on the charges of Possession of Schedule II CDS Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
