BALDWIN, La. — Baldwin Police Chief Gibson is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Darien Keith Hoskins Jr., a Black male, date of birth September 29, 2005, who is wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred at the Baldwin Gulf One Stop Store on Wednesday, December 17, 2025,at approximately 12:30 pm.in connection with a shooting that occurred at the Baldwin Gulf One Stop Store on Wednesday, December 17, 2025,at approximately 12:30 pm.
Following an investigation, warrants have been issued for Mr. Hoskins under the Louisiana Revised Statutes on the following charges:
- Four counts – La. R.S. 14:27 / 14:30: Attempted Second Degree Murder
- One count – La. R.S. 14:94: Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities
- One count – La. R.S. 14:96: Aggravated Obstruction of a Highway or Commerce
- One count – La. R.S. 14:55: Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
Hoskins was last known to be in the Sorrell/Jeanerette area.
Gibson has issued a watch to the public that Hoskins is considered armed and dangerous. The public is advised not to attempt to make contact with him.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact the Baldwin Police Department at 337-923-4845. All tips will be investigated by law enforcement.
