NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports that on Thursday, August 4, 2022, the Assumption Parish School District participated in Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events Training (C.R.A.S.E.) under the direction of the Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. Unit.

The School District trained in numerous aspects related to active shooters and how to deal with this situation if it were to present itself in any of our learning institutions. The district was trained in the A.D.D. (Avoid Deny Defend) method for active shooter events and showed multiple tools that could be used to secure their classrooms in case of an event.
