Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Rontrell Johnson, 37, of 211 Cardinal Street, Labadieville, LA, on felony gun possession charges arising from a traffic stop in Labadieville early Sunday.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle with an equipment violation in the area of LA 398 and LA 1010. The deputy initiated a stop of that vehicle and made contact with the driver. The vehicle was occupied by multiple individuals. The deputy was able to interview all individuals including Rontrell Johnson. It was determined that Rontrell Johnson was a prior convicted felon. During a walk around of the vehicle, deputies observed a large caliber firearm protruding from under the seat. The firearm was seized.
Due to his convicted felon status, Rontrell Johnson was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Rontrell Johnson remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Timothy Joseph Hendon, 34, of 4345A Highway 70 South, Pierre Part, LA, on multiple felony charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 70 East on Sunday evening.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and executed a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Timothy Joseph Hendon and engaged Hendon in an officer / violator interview. At the conclusion of that interview, the deputy believed additional investigation was warranted. The deputy requested and was granted consent to search the suspect vehicle. During the search process, deputies seized quantities of methamphetamine, marijuana and a firearm.
Timothy Hendon was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Marijuana
- Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
- Speeding – 85/55
- False Registration Certificates
- Driving Under Suspended Driver’s License
- Expire Motor Vehicle Inspection Tag
Timothy Joseph Hendon remains incarcerated with bond set at $200,000.
Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Chad Anthony Johnson, 43, of 111 Highway 1014, Labadieville, LA, on felony battery charges arising from a fight early Sunday at a residence in the 100 block of LA 1014.
Deputies were dispatched to the area and made contact with the accused, Chad Anthony Johnson. At that time, it was determined that the male victim had been repeatedly warned not to go to the suspect’s residence. On Sunday morning, the suspect went to the victim’s residence at which time an argument and fight ensued. During the incident, the victim sustained injuries requiring medical attention at a healthcare facility.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Chad Anthony Johnson was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
- Second Degree Battery
Chad Anthony Johnson was incarcerated and released on a $10,000 bond.
