Arrest Warrant Issued for Second Suspect in Mardi Gras Night Shooting in Baldwin

Chief Anthony Gibson with the Baldwin Police Department announces the warrant arrest for the 2nd Suspect Trent Darby Hayward of Baton Rouge.

Hayward is wanted for two counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder and one count of Illegal Discharging of a Firearm.

This warrant is in reference to the shooting that occurred on February 13, 2024.

Hayward should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information to his whereabouts is ask to contact Baldwin Police Department at 337-923-4845 or any local police agency.

Chief Gibson would like to thank the Louisiana State Police Criminal Intelligence Unit, along with Louisiana State Fusion Center for assisting with identifying Mr. Hayward.
